Passion for Technology Meets Photographic Perfection

Advertising photography is his passion, and his love for classic cars led to the creation of Classic Car Photo. Nowhere else do design history and technological history come together as impressively as in automotive history.

Born in the Mercedes city of Rastatt, Hermann Dörre regularly photographed for the Badische Tagblatt even as a student. His career began as an assistant to BFF photo designer Jochen Heine in Karlsruhe, where he gained valuable experience in the automotive industry, working for Renault and Bosch. After moving to Munich, he completed training in the photography department at Rohde & Schwarz and worked as an assistant to renowned fashion and still-life photographers.

Since 1996, Hermann Dörre has run his own studio. In 2012, the passionate photographer established a drive-in studio with a total area of 300 square meters in northern Munich, located at the border between Schwabing-Freimann and Milbertshofen-Am Hart.

Hermann Dörre is married and has a son. He is actively involved in photographer training, is a member of the journeyman examination committee of the Chamber of Crafts, was a long-time board member of the PIC Association (www.pic-verband.de), and is active as a BFF Professional in the Association of Freelance Photographers and Film Designers (www.bff.de).
